In short
The Company of ICK consists of an ensemble of dancers and a junior company: ICK-Next. Founders Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten continue to build a contemporary repertoire together, in which the intuitively moving body is central. Guest choreographers are also asked to make creations based on the overarching theme, The Body in Revolt. Starting in 2021, the versatile choreographer Shailesh Bahoran has been invited to work with the ensemble as an Artist Associate.

ICK Dans Amsterdam offers a platform for contemporary dance to various choreographers. Leading the company are the house choreographers, Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten, who are also the directors of ICK. Since ICK was founded, international top choreographers and promising new creators also have been invited to work with the dance ensemble.
DANCERS
The dance ensemble of ICK is formed by 6 unique dancers. From this core group, the different choreographers of ICK build high-profile dance productions. The quality of the dance ensemble is formed on the one hand by the space that is given to the individuality of each dancer and on the other hand by the deeply rooted Double Skin / Double Mind method developed by Greco and Scholten. The dancers incorporate this specific basis, which focuses on a strong body awareness and a virtuoso dance quality, in the interpretation of the choreographers' work.
Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten started in 2019 with a junior company called ICK Next. With this learning trajectory we give dancers who are in training or just graduated the possibility to gain work experience in the studio and on stage.
